Yes — we take on custom wedding requests. Not often, and not for everyone who asks. But if you already love one of our pieces and need it to work a little differently for your day, it's worth asking.
Here's what that actually looked like the last time we said yes.
What "custom" means at COCO DE CHOM
When someone asks us to customize a piece, we're not starting from a blank page. We're taking a shape you already love and rebuilding it in a fabric — or with adjustments — that make it right for one specific day.
That usually means more structure, more coverage, or both. It does not mean a new pattern, a different silhouette, or guesswork. We only say yes when we're confident we can keep what you loved about the original piece and still solve the problem it can't solve on its own.
Holly's story
In June 2025, Holly bought her first COCO DE CHOM piece — the Goddess kaftan. She loved it. But by the time her wedding came around, she realized it was a little too sheer for a ceremony.
So she asked if we could customize it for her big day.
Honestly, we hesitated. Custom bridal isn't something we usually do. We only wanted to say yes if we could do it justice — and we didn't want to promise a bride something we couldn't deliver in time, or to the standard her wedding day deserved.
Holly didn't give up on us. So we didn't either.
We started from the Kori kaftan instead of the Goddess — a closer match to what she needed — and found a special off-white satin with enough structure to hold its shape, soft enough to still feel like her. We built from there, and adjusted the fit twice before it was right.
The piece was finished in January, months ahead of her May wedding in Santorini.
If you're wondering whether we'd do this for you
We say yes more often than people expect — but not always, and timeline matters. If you already have a piece you love, or you've seen one you think could work with adjustments, the best time to ask is as early as possible. Holly's piece took from her original request to a finished garment several months, with two rounds of fit adjustments in between.
